Global TV Fundraising Specialist (Secondment)

The Opportunity

Save the Children International has an exciting internal opportunity for you to join the Global Fundraising and Marketing Hub in the Centre as Global TV Fundraising Specialist (Secondment). Open to internal Save the Children International employees and Save the Children member office employees only.

Role Purpose:

Save the Children is implementing its ambitious global strategic fundraising plan and significantly increasing funds, with a focus on unrestricted funds, is a main priority in the strategy. In recent years, Save the Children’s Members have had considerable success increasing the number of regular donors recruited through DRTV, however recent challenges have led to a decline in acquisition volume from this channel.

As our current Global TV Fundraising Specialist takes a period of absence for 5 months, this secondment is a priority in order to continue supporting Members in growing and optimising performance from DRTV and CTV.

This role sits in the Global Fundraising and Marketing Hub, which provides strategic support and technical guidance to our Members in Asia, Europe, Latin America and North America.

This is an opportunity for an ambitious fundraiser to support our global approach to DRTV, Connected TV, and digital integration strategy as part of our international team. The post is responsible helping to deliver our global TV strategy and supporting implementation across Save the Children Members, including collaborating with our Global Creative Content Unit on audiovisual content plans and with our Global Digital Engagement Team to enhance Digital and DRTV integration.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Experience of delivering successful TV fundraising campaigns including experience in the not-for-profit sector
  • Experience of contract negotiations and managing external suppliers, particularly creative and media agencies, and internal service providers such as data and digital
  • Solid direct marketing and project management skills in planning and executing campaigns across a range of channels and delivering projects on time and to budget
  • A proven track record in delivering and maximising the income from direct marketing campaigns
  • Demonstrable understanding of developing a strategy and working within this to assess and make operational decisions
  • Experience of developing and using monitoring and analysis tools for fundraising or marketing activity
  • Demonstrable understanding or experience of working within a team with knowledge management and skill sharing responsibilities equivalent in scale and focus to this role
  • Capacity to build and maintain excellent relations and to work effectively in a multicultural and multi-ethnic environment respecting diversity
  • Experience of working in a support role to a diverse range of fundraising markets
  • Strong personal organisational and self-management skills with an ability to work both independently and within teams and motivate others
  • Ability to think critically, objectively, analytically, and strategically, solve problems quickly and show initiative
  • Ability to articulate the work of Save the Children with passion
  • A self-starter using initiative to see opportunities to achieve objectives in this role
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong IT skills particularly in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook / Teams
  • Fluent in English with excellent writing and speaking mandatory. Additional language skills such as Spanish would be an asset
  • Willing to travel to support members directly or to relevant events as required.

We can offer circa £51,500 per annum (If based in the UK) with an option of flexible working hours. If the role is based outside of the UK, National Terms & Conditions (including pay and benefits) will apply.

This role can be based in the UK (London or Remote) or any existing Save the Children International Regional or Country office location on approval, provided the successful candidate has proof of eligibility to work from the preferred location for the duration of the contract.
