Head of Finance Operations

The Opportunity

Save the Children International has an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as the Head of Finance Operations in the UK (London or Remote) or any existing Save the Children International Regional or Country office worldwide.

Role Purpose:

The purpose of the role is to lead SCI centre finance operations and provide strategic direction and oversight for SCI’s finance operational processes globally, with excellent customer care standards and a strong financial control environment. The role will be a key contributor to driving SCI’s shared services agenda and lead a global virtual team with members based across SCI’s London centre office and country offices.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

Essential

  • experience of leading a high performing finance operations team (including AP) with strong customer care focus and financial controls
  • experience of setting a change agenda and driving operational improvements
  • experience of developing policies and procedures, communication, and training plans
  • excellent communication skills
  • experience with management information systems and strong excel skills
  • experience of solving complex issues through analysis
  • excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • results oriented with ability to find solutions and make improvements
  • ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships at all levels
  • self-motivated with good time management skills and ability to prioritise workload, anticipate requirements, work to tight deadlines and communicate decisions on a regular basis

Desirable

  • leadership experience in a shared service environment
  • experience of working in a global multi-currency environment

We can offer circa £64,000 per annum (If based in the UK) with an option of flexible working hours. If the role is based outside of the UK, National Terms & Conditions (including pay and benefits) will apply.

This role can be based in the UK (London or Remote) or any existing Save the Children International Regional or Country office location on approval, provided the successful candidate has proof of eligibility to work from the preferred location for the duration of the contract.
