About the role
We are currently looking for a Senior Health Advisor to join our team. As the Senior Health Advisor, you will generally be deployed as the Lead Technical Advisor to assess, design and guide staff and line manage programmes to drive the child survival breakthrough, drawing upon Health and Nutrition strategic priorities and to lead on sectoral assessment, programme design providing inputs into-budgeting and technical coordination activities.
You will bring to the role experience of advocacy, delivering high quality programmes and technical support on Health across multiple countries and contexts with the understanding of principles, practices and policy priorities related to Health with management responsibilities of health teams of international and national staff. You will demonstrate an ability to lead to lead high quality project design with skills in policy and advocacy towards government officials, development actors and UN agencies in developing countries while representing SC effectively in external forums.
Proficiency in English and working knowledge of a second language – French, Spanish, or Arabic is a must.

Roving Technical Experts
Roving Technical Expert (TE) roles will be rapidly deployed by the GEHSP across the movement to cover critical technical gaps and deliver technical excellence to drive impact for children. They will provide dedicated support that is available to deploy regularly and flexibly depending on the requests received on the GEHSP. The main responsibilities of this post will vary according to the terms of reference for each assignment.
