RUNNING FOR SURVIVAL IN KENYA

60 children today congregated at the Lodwar Mixed Primary School field in Turkana County to participate in this year’s Race for Survival. The venue was packed to the fullest and the children were all excited to be taking part in an event that would see them be the voice for not just those in the county but also for others in the world. After heavy showers, the race finally started at noon and ended 40 minutes after with the children running the 1.2 Km relay amid a lot of cheering from the crowd present.

SAVE THE CHILDREN KENYA LAUNCHES THE ‘ENDING NEWBORN DEATHS’ REPORT

Save the Children today marked the launch of the Newborn report through a breakfast meeting at the Best Western Premier Hotel in Nairobi, Kenya. The event was well attended by stakeholders from various organizations as well as the media fraternity. The meeting began with a request for a moment of silence by the Master of Ceremony, Angela Nguku from the White Ribbon Alliance, for the millions of children who are dying every day.
