Global TE Architecture Workstream Lead – TE Transformation (Maternity Cover)

The Opportunity

Save the Children International has an exciting internal opportunity for you to join the Program, Quality and Impact team in the Centre as the Global TE Architecture Workstream Lead – TE Transformation (Maternity Cover). Open to internal Save the Children International employees and Save the Children member office employees only.

Role Purpose:

Save the Children is evolving its organisational structure in order to stay true to its mission, vision and values, whilst being able to withstand external pressures – be those geo-political demands; increasing stakeholder expectations; challenging funding environments; reduced access to funding; or declining trust in large INGOs. This is driven through our ambitious transformation agenda.

The TE Transformation Project aims to ensure we have the right technical expertise in the right places around the world. We believe that Technical Experts are critical for achieving our breakthroughs for children. We currently have Technical Experts sitting around the world and we are looking at how we can organize this expertise in the most effective way.

The Workstream Lead for the Global TE Architecture will be responsible for leading this strategic change across Save the Children, working closely with the TE Transformation Project Lead. This role will focus on our global TE (SCI centre, regions, and members) oversee all elements of the transformation, including process design, change management, project planning, financial implications and implementation. It is essential that the Workstream Lead has extensive organisational transformation experience and is able to operate at a strategic level right down to the detailed design and implementation.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

Essential

  • Experience in Save the Children
  • Experience working on change projects, ideally in the NGO sector
  • Experience in solving complex issues through analysis, definition of a clear way forward and ensuring buy in
  • Experience leading design and implementation of a project
  • Excellent business partnering, communication and relationship building skills.
  • Ability to prepare compelling design and project update presentations to senior stakeholders – strong PowerPoint skills
  • Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills – ability to oversee data analysis to facilitate decision making
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative.
  • Constructive approach

Desirable

  • Familiarity with development and humanitarian programming
  • Experience working as a Technical Expert / Technical Assistance provider in an NGO context
  • Significant senior level leadership and management experience in a large and complex international NGO or organization

We can offer circa £63,300 per annum (If based in UK) with an option of flexible working hours. If the role is based outside of the UK, National T&C (including pay) will apply.

This role can be based in London or any existing Save the Children International Regional or Country office location on approval, provided the successful candidate has proof of eligibility to work from the preferred location.
